‘To See or To Be’ by Kenneth Zamarron

Prisoner Express and the Durland Alternatives Library are excited to welcome Anthony Coleman, from the Freedom Discovery Project [FDP]. Mr. Coleman will speak about his experience with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, where he served a life sentence. Join us and learn what it means to serve time and what goes on behind prison walls in the United States of America.

FDP is a group dedicated to creating DIY videos for recently released long-term offenders. PE has been surveying its’ 4000 members to find out what subjects they would like to see covered in future FDP videos.

Join the Freedom Discovery Project and Prisoner Express for a reception and letter-writing event. There will be a reception from 6:30 pm – 7 pm with Mr. Coleman as the keynote speaker. He will share some stories about his own experience, serving a life sentence in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation system (CDCR), and there will be an opportunity for a Q+A session with attendees.

After his introduction, attendees are invited to compose letters responding to journals and poetry submitted to PE by people who are currently incarcerated in the USA.

The letters will be mailed by Prisoner Express.

We hope to see you there!
