Volunteers have been reading journals for many years. Sara has offered to read an entry each week and share her thoughts regarding different authors and their circumstances. There are a million stories circulating throughout prisons, and our journal program is our attempt to get these first-person stories written and shared with the free world.
Hearing about lives very different from our own helps us understand that which is unfamiliar to us. It is also an effective way to begin seeing our own patterns and shadows. I invite others who wish to read and write about a particular journal reading to contact us at Prisoner Express. We are constantly adding new journals entries to our database, which are sorted by the dates they are received. Please consider reading some entries and writing a friendly response to the journaler. The instructions are here.
