7:28 pm start

Well, I thought that I would do something good for my life and start writing more. I meant to start this earlier, but I got tied up with a few things. I decided to join some programs that Prisoner Express offers and I have already started on them. My stories might not be the best, but it’s a start. Just like this entry is a start for the Journal Project.

It’s funny, I haven’t written a journal since 1997 or so, when I was in TYC and I never thought to do it again. Well, that’s not true, I’ve thought about writing my thoughts down in a journal before, I just never did it. And certainly not like I did when I was in TYC, back then I was a kid and didn’t truly understand what a journal was for. Now that I’m older, I do and can appreciate the need for one. The release that writing can give, being able to express my opinions, views, beliefs, whatever, all without being judged or hated for what I say.

I know that I need to change my life and I really want to. That’s why I’m starting this journal, so that I have something to keep track of my life. So that I can look back and see what needs to be changed, what has changed, and why it changed. As much as I hate to write, I’m going to make myself write so that I can do this everyday. I have to start some place and it is here. As I’ve told several people today, this is my only way to start changing, I have to take what I’ve got, for better or worse. Not that it can get much worse.
