Since PE began, PE members have been making and sharing poetry. Two summers ago, Samantha, a student worker, was working on a book club project. She showed it to her mom. As it happens, her poet mother had a chapbook published by Rattle. Elizabeth [her mom] provided a description on how to write a chapbook and we sent it out with the poetry book. She received 48 chapbooks submissions back, written by PE members, and was taken with their work. With her help, we have been able to publish some of those poems in this summer edition of Rattle.
