Volunteer with Online Program!

Prisoner Express is now offering an online volunteer hub with regular events, instructions for writing prisoners, and updates on the digital archive for prisoner writing!

This is helping us achieve our goal to provide opportunities to share, heal, and connect as human beings.

Since March 2020 we have been unable to access our regular space at the Durland Alternatives Library, so adapting to an online format was critical for us. Before the closure, we sometimes had over 100 volunteers helping to read and respond to prisoners weekly!

Now, dozens of new and past volunteers are joining the online community for Prisoner Express and participating in the volunteer events and efforts.
