Thank YOU for our first successful fundraiser!

I’m so grateful for all of you who contributed to our Prisoner Express Fundraising Campaign. This is the first time we’ve ever asked for public contributions – and trust me, we needed it.

We were a little nervous to set a goal. I mean, what if it flopped?

It didn’t – our goal to raise $1,000 was surpassed! We raised over $1,600 for our campaign, which means we can send over 200 packages to prisoners.

Our new website has been getting a great response as well. Dozens are signing up on the Prisoner Express online newsletter so they will be in the loop about upcoming art shows, poetry readings, and other events. If you haven’t joined yet, click here.

There’s still time to donate if you haven’t already – $7 sends a package. To be honest, there’s still a lot of people who’ve requested books and they’re on a waiting list. Any additional donations we can gather will immediately send packages.

Of course, donations are tax-deductable, and larger donations are also welcome.
